How does aftercare work once I am back in the UK?
Aftercare should be planned before you travel, not after. The clinic in Türkiye should give you written aftercare instructions, explain its follow-up and give you a direct contact for clinical questions. Tell your GP or dentist about your plans beforehand, because they may be involved later, and find out how your medical notes will be shared.

What should I arrange before travelling?
- Talk to your GP, dentist or clinician in the UK, and ask how your medical notes will be passed between them and the team abroad.
- Ask the clinic what follow-up it provides, where follow-up appointments will take place and whether you might need to return.
- Get written aftercare instructions and a direct clinical contact before you leave Türkiye.
- Ask for copies of your treatment records, including what was done and any materials or implants used.
- Find out what happens if there are complications. See if something goes wrong.
