Turwel ("we", "us") is a UK to Türkiye medical travel advisory and coordination service, accessible at https://www.turwel.com/. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

What information we collect
We only ask for the information we need, and we tell you why at the point we ask for it.
- When you send an enquiry or book a consultation: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, how you would like us to reply, the treatment area and timeframe you are considering, and anything you write in your message.
- When you contact us directly by email, phone or WhatsApp: your contact details and the content of your messages and any attachments you choose to send.
- When you visit the website: technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the date and time of your visit, collected by our hosting provider in log files. If you agree to analytics cookies, we also collect information about how you use the site (see Cookies below).
Health information
Information about your health is a special category of personal data and needs extra protection. If you tell us about your health or send us medical records, for example by email or WhatsApp, we use them only to help with your enquiry and, with your explicit consent, to share them with a healthcare provider you want to speak to. Healthcare providers are responsible for how they handle the information they receive.

Who we share it with
- Partner healthcare providers in Türkiye, only when you ask us to connect you and agree to us sharing your details.
- Travel and accommodation suppliers, only the details needed to make the arrangements you ask for.
- Service providers who process data for us, such as our website and form provider (Wix) and, if you agree to analytics cookies, Google Analytics. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information.
International transfers
Because we work between the UK and Türkiye, your information may be transferred to Türkiye, and our service providers may process it in other countries. Where information leaves the UK, we take steps to make sure it is protected, for example through contracts that require UK-standard safeguards, or with your explicit consent when you ask us to share your details with a provider in Türkiye.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy. If your enquiry does not go ahead, we delete your details when they are no longer needed to answer you. If you travel with our help, we keep the records we need to support you and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, as described below.

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work. We only use analytics cookies, such as Google Analytics, if you agree to them, and you can change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to erase your information, in certain circumstances;
- ask us to restrict how we use your information, in certain circumstances;
- object to our use of your information, in certain circumstances;
- ask us to transfer your information to you or another organisation, in certain circumstances;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
There is normally no charge for making a request. We will respond within one month. To make a request, email info@turwel.com.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
