Gastric sleeve or gastric bypass: what is the difference?
In general terms, a gastric sleeve removes a large part of the stomach, leaving a narrow tube. A gastric bypass makes a small stomach pouch and connects it further along the small intestine. Both are major, permanent operations with lifelong changes to eating and nutrition. Which one, if any, suits you is for the surgical team to assess.

Why the choice is not yours alone
